Prisoners shifted

UPPER DIR, Nov 12: All prisoners from Dir sub-jail have been shifted to Timergara district jail on the orders of NWFP’s Inspector-General of Prisons.

According to jail source, the move was approved by the provincial home department and the prisoners will remain in Timergara until security situation improves. The sub-jail is located in an area vulnerable to attacks.

An official said that prisoners from Swat had also been transferred to Timergara.
