ISLAMABAD, Nov 5: The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) has resolved to launch a countrywide movement for restoration of Constitution and democracy in the country in partnership with All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM), lawyers and civil society.

According to PML-N information secretary Ahsan Iqbal, the party in its meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) here on Monday directed the party’s district organisations to chalk out protest programmes in consultation with APDM parties, lawyers and civil society activists in every district.

The meeting took place at the residence of a PML-N leader. Mr Iqbal refused to give details of the venue and the participants. He, however, said the meeting was presided over by PML-N chairman Raja Zafarul Haq.

Talking to Dawn, Mr Iqbal said the CWC had expressed full solidarity with lawyers protesting against the emergency.
