KARACHI, Nov 1: As many as 223 jobseekers were arrested by the immigration authorities on Thursday after being deported from Turkey, officials said.

They said that the deportees reached the Quaid-i-Azam International Airport by a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul and were taken into custody for illegally leaving the country.

The officials said that the deportees, who mainly belonged to different parts of Punjab, had entered Turkey illegally.
