KARACHI, March 23: The 17th meeting of the board of governors of the Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology was held here on Friday.

The meeting was informed that the university was collaborating with the industry in fulfilling the industrial requirements with regard to human resource development.

The board was also informed of the role played by career planning and placement bureau which helped the students in securing jobs inside and outside the country.

According to the latest figures provided by the bureau, 13 per cent students who passed out this year and are due to be conferred with degrees on March 30 have already been offered jobs in various industrial and commercial establishments.

The VC, Prof. Dr Saiyid Nazir Ahmad, informed the board, about the collaboration of the university with Al-Ghurair University, Dubai, regarding award of SSUET degrees to overseas students.
