MULTAN, Oct 16: Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan in the first week of November and this time the government will not be able to deport him, says acting Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi.

Speaking at a press conference at his residence after his return from Saudi Arabia on Monday, Hashmi said this time Sharif would land at Lahore airport. He, however, said the date of Sharif’s return would be announced after consultation among party leaders.

He said Sharif was interested in boarding a plane from Jeddah, but he could also take a flight from London or Dubai.

The acting PML-N chief said his party had been trying for the last eight years to get rid of the dictator. He said Sharif never struck a deal with the government, adding the PML-N would not accept an interim set up planned by President Gen Pervez Musharraf. He said neither Sharif nor any other PML-N leader contacted Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Shujaat Husain during his recent visit to Saudi Arabia. He ruled out any alliance with the ruling PML.
