LAHORE, Sept 12: Jamhoori Watan Party’s (JWP) provincial chief Madni Baloch has criticised the army rulers for violating the Supreme Court ruling by deporting former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Mr Baloch, who visited the PML-N offices here on Wednesday, said the step had exposed the government’s real face and the respect it held for the constitution, law and court rulings.
He said the state repression would fail to demoralise them, and they would continue their struggle for the restoration of democracy.
JWP leader the late Nawab Akbar Bugti, he said, was struggling to accomplish the same mission and hoped that the destination would be achieved soon.
He said the army rulers had taken oppressive measures against the Balochs, especially the Bugtis, in their province.
The JWP leader alleged that an intelligence agency had taken into custody the late Bugti’s grandson, Shahzain Bugti, on June 2 and detained him in torture cells before shifting him to Dera Allah Yar prison in “fabricated” cases on June 8.
