KARAK, Sept 12: The All-Parties Democratic Movement (APDM), Karak district chapter, took out a protest procession here on Wednesday against forced exile of PML leader Nawaz Sharif to Saudi Arabia and termed it an ‘unconstitutional act and contempt of court’ on the part of the government.

The protest procession was led by former district president of Pakistan Muslim League-N Malik Mehar Ali Khan. The procession began from the Pir Odeen Shah Mosque and turned into a public meeting at the Saddam Chowk where the speakers addressed the protestors.

Addressing the protestors, former MNA Shamsur Rehman Khattak, Jamat-i-Islami district president Maulana Samiur Rehman, ANP district president Taleem Khan advocate, Pukhtoon Khwa Milli Awami Party district president Rafeeq Khan and former general secretary of JUI-F Maulana Noor Sahib Gul said that army generals had ruled the country most of the time since the independence.

They said that Nawaz was sent into forced exile to Jeddah illegally and unconstitutionally despite very clear order of the Supreme Court.

They said that Nawaz was a citizen of this country and he had a constitutional right to come and live in the country but the army rulers had him this basic and fundamental right.
