MINGORA, Sept 11: Barbers have imposed a ban on shaving the beard and fixed Rs5,000 fine for violation of their decision.

About 500 members attended a meeting held at the home of Swat barbers’ federation president Fazal Khalid.

The barbers said they had received threatening letters from militants.—Correspondent
