PESHAWAR, Aug 31: A non-governmental organisation held a student enrolment walk in the Ajmera union council in Battagram to create awareness about education.

Students, teachers and members of the various parent-teacher associations took part in the event organised by the Social Peace and Development Organisation, in collaboration with the Unicef. The Unicef was represented by assistant project officer Imtiaz Alam.

The Spado is working in collaboration with the Unicef in 61 schools in Shamlai, Thakot and other villages in the Battagram district. The project involves provision of tents and stationary to students.—APP
