KARACHI, Aug 29: Four ships carrying yellow peas, containers and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight ships were berthed: They are: Kota Hakim, Ruhunu Pura, APL Brisbane to unload containers, Altis, to offload coal, Jeans Munk to load general cargo, Adriatic Arrow to load cement, Shoko Marue and Golden Far East, to load ethanol and lubricants, respectively.

Sailing was also active as 10 vessels including Pacific Arrow, Tower Bridge, Jo Oak, Sinar Bandung, Johar, Kota Hakim, Jesn Munk, Golden Far East and Harmony departed, while Kapitan Byankis, APL Brisbane, and Oel Sureyan are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total volume of 0.115m tons comprising 24,904 tons of export cargo and 91,210 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: World Dynasty, with jet oil, Eric G. Gibson, to unload and load containers, Al-Bahrakh, to load 17,000 tons of cement and Vanasrin Summer, with 10,700 tons of yellow peas.
