LAHORE, Aug 20: Robbers continued their looting spree in the provincial metropolis and deprived citizens of cash and valuables worth millions of rupees on Monday. Four gunmen took away cash and jewellery worth Rs300,000 from a house in Misri Shah. They barged into the house of Nadir, took family members at gunpoint, collected Rs231,000 in cash and two gold necklaces and fled.
Two gun-totting men broke into the house of Samina in LARECHS Colony in Mughalpura and took away Rs150,000 in cash and fled.
Two armed men stormed into the house of Haroon Ahmed in L-Block in DHA and fled after looting Rs10,000 and a cell phone.
Four robbers broke into 779-G in Johar Town, took the family at gunpoint, looted cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands rupees. Later, they also drove the owner’s car away.
Some unidentified people forced their entry into a house in Township and took away cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees at gunpoint.
STREET CRIME: Three muggers stopped a citizen in front of 171-B, Johar Town, and snatched Rs500,000 in cash at gunpoint.
Two men intercepted a woman at her doorsteps in Block-III, Shah Jahan Park, in Shafeeqabad and snatched her purse, gold jewellery and a cell phone at gunpoint. A passer-by was deprived of Rs7,000 and a cell phone in Samanabad.
THEFT: Thieves broke into the house of Dr Ahmed Saeed in New Iqbal Park in DHA and made off with cash, jewellery and home appliances worth Rs600,000.
