LARKANA, Aug 18: Trade activities at Shahdadkot sabzimandi were restored here on Saturday after a three-day closure. The deputy inspector general police Larkana held successful talks with the protesters on late Friday night.
Different social, political bodies have joined hands with the association of the vegetables market in protest against the unsafe roads and deteriorating law and order situation.
Trade activities and traffic on the Ratodero-Shahdadkot and Shahdadkot-Garhikhairo roads had been completely halted due to the protest.
The taluka nazim Shahdadkot, Sardar Ali Jarwar, had apprised the Regional Police Officer (RPO), Sukkur, about the unsatisfactory state of law and order in the area.
Reports said that the DIG police have negotiated with the leaders of different trade and city organisations and assured them of initiating action against robbers.
