KARACHI, Aug 8: Three ships carrying containers, coal and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday. Meanwhile, three more ships with containers and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

A total of 10 ships, Nikita, Maersk Missoun, Nedlloyd Oceania, Sinal, Shad Wan Island, Yantian Sea, Maria Bulk, Gemini, Vema Ocean and Gennaro Ievoli, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, rapeseeds, coal, edible oil, diesel oil and chemical.

A cargo volume of 72,565 tons comprising 51,282 tons of import and 21,283 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Nikita, Maersk Missouri, Yantian Sea and Gennaro Ievoli left the port while Nedlloyd Oceania was due to depart.
