HYDERABAD, July 12: District and Sessions Judge Zafar Ahmed Khan Sherwani on Wednesday ordered the SHO of Matiari police station to lodge an FIR against the SHO of Shahpur Darpur police station on a complaint filed by one Jumoon Khan.
Mr Jumoon Khan filed an application under sections 22-A and B of Cr.PC citing the DPO of Matiari and the SHO of Shahpur Darpur police station as respondents.
He said that ASI Photo Khan came to him on June 5 and asked him to pay Rs50,000 as per directives of the SHO of Shahpur Darpur, Nazar Mohammad Deeshak, else he would be booked in false cases.
He threatened that he would show him as an accomplice of notorious bandit Badal Keerio in the FIR, he claimed.
He said that on June 6 at about 4 pm the SHO Nazar Mohammad Deeshak, ASI Photo Khan along with other policemen raided his house, took him into custody and confined him in a lock-up.
An FIR under sections 216 was lodged against him and he was subsequently challaned and then released on bail.
The policemen took away a goat and a cock worth Rs25,000, and took him to police station in a mobile van.
The SHO told him that his relative, Abdul Shakoor Chuttho, had filed a case against the DPO.
The applicant said that the mobile slowed down he jumped out and ran towards sugarcane fields. Police fired on him but luckily he escaped unhurt, he said.
He then sent an application to the higher authorities including the DPO of Matiari requesting him to register an FIR and seeking protection against high-handedness of SHO but to no avail. He said that he could not go to the village for fear of his life.
He prayed the court to have an honest police officer file an FIR against SHO Shahpur Darpur police station, ASI Photo Khan, a head constable and other unidentified persons who raided his house without warrants, fired on him and took away his goat and cock.
He requested the court to restrain the SHO from harassing him, his relatives and family members.
