PESHAWAR, March 5: A number of Maliks (tribal elders) have termed the proposed reforms in tribal areas as interference in their customs and traditions and have rejected the reforms proposed to be brought by the government. They warned that if the reforms were imposed they would seek help from the Afghanistan.
Speaking at a Press conference here on Tuesday they were of the opinion that they could not accept the seats in the provincial assembly as NWFP was also a poor province that was why the province could not afford their burden.—Bureau Report
