ISLAMABAD, June 15: A court here on Friday ordered the executive director of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences to provide to former minister of state for communications Mohammad Shahid Jamil Qureshi the report of autopsy on Kafila Siddiqui, a Canadian national of Pakistani origin who died under mysterious circumstance last Saturday in a home she shared with Mr Qureshi.

The former minister had submitted an application in the court of magistrate Abid Rizwan Abid, seeking the autopsy report. Mr Qureshi said he was seeking the report for his defence.

In another application submitted in the court of sessions judge Rafiuz Zaman, Mr Qureshi sought release of his two servants.

He said his cook Allahyar and driver Ijaz Awan had been picked up by the Shalimar police along with 19 other people on Saturday. He feared that they might be tortured to give a statement against him. He said police had been keeping them in illegal confinement.
