SIALKOT, March 4: Provincial Finance Minister Tariq Hameed on Monday said that the government has focused its attention on the early revival of the economy.

He stated this while inaugurating the new branch of Faysal Bank Ltd at Services Club here on Monday. Farook Bengali, president of the bank, and other leading businessmen were also present on the occasion.

The minister said that the government was taking effective measures for strengthening and boosting the economy by promoting business-friendly ties between the business community and banking sector.

He said the consistent policies of the government has restored the confidence of the businessmen and foreign investors now considering Pakistan a safe country for investment.

Hameed said the government was also giving some incentives to the banking sector and business community, as their mutual cooperation was direly-needed for the rapid growth of the economy.
