KARACHI, June 11: Five ships carrying containers, rock phosphate and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where 11 ships including Sea Princess, Oel Trust, Kota Gunawan, Iran Hesabi, Corin Thaikos, Johar and Chemstar Brave were accommodated berths during the last two days.
Sailing was also fairly active as Y.M. Moon, Hyundai Sprinter, Bunga Lanka, Andtla and Bunga Terasek departed, while Khairpur, Kma Bhun, Johar, Zahra-4, Magdalena Green, Captain Markus, Peterpaul, Cosco Shekou and Mol Admiration are due to sail out on Tuesday.
A total tonnage of 0.228m tons comprising 53,579 tons of export cargo including 9,667 tons of cement and 0.174m tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Pacific Arrow to load 9,500 tons of cement, Al-Mansourah with rock phosphare, Hayley Nadh, APL Yokohama and Y.M. Faha with containers.
