LAHORE, Oct 20: An accountability court extended on Saturday judicial remand of six former executives of the NICFC till Nov 3.
Earlier, Punjab NAB prosecutor had informed the court that the bureau would arrest four more accused involved in plundering public money in the name of the NICFC which still owes Rs1.8 billion to its account holders.
The prosecutor had sought further judicial remand for Chaudhry Tajammul Hussain, Chaudhry Abdul Hameed, Mujahid Butt, Malik Khudadad Lak, Ghulam Rasool and Shaikh Munir Ahmad.
In another reference against FIA’s former DG Maj Mushtaq (retired), one of the prosecution witnesses Muhammad Yaqub turned hostile and deviated from his earlier statement.
COURT OFFICIALS: The Lahore High Court has shuffled district court superintendents in 26 districts.
The LHC notification which on Saturday gave details of the large-scale transfers did not state reasons but some of the officials are said to have stayed at one place for too long.—APP
