KARACHI, March 2: The ongoing development projects of Sindh health and population welfare departments, which are being carried out with the assistance of international financial aid organizations, were reviewed in detail at a meeting here on Saturday under the chairmanship of provincial health minister Ahsan Ahmed.
A delegation of UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), which provides financial assistance and technical cooperation, headed by Alan John Handyside, also attended the meeting.
The DFID leader expressed satisfaction over the performance of the health department and reiterated that the DFID’s assistance and technical cooperation would continue.
Provincial health secretary Khalid Latif Choudhry; secretary, population welfare Ashfaq Memon, and other officials also attended the meeting.—APP
