PESHAWAR, May 7: A man on Monday threatened to commit suicide in front of the Governor House if his land was not vacated soon.
Shahjehan Khan, speaking at a press conference, asked the NWFP governor and IGP Mohammad Sharif Virk to help him get his land, which is in his rivals’ hands, vacated.
Shahjehan, a resident of Turnab, Charsadda district, said he was facing hardship since the last 20 years due to which he had become mentally disturbed. He said he had already spent a huge amount on legal battles. But, despite the court’s verdict in his favour some three months ago, the government had failed to hand over the piece of land to him.
