LAHORE, Feb 27: Pakistan’s high commissioner designate to Canada Shahid Malik has expressed strong hope that Canada will allow Pakistani exporters greater and easier access to its market.
In a meeting with LCCI president Dr. Khalid Chowdhry here on Wednesday, he said Canada would enhance the existing meagre trade volume with Pakistan in recognition of the latter’s role in the war on terrorism.
He said the government was appointing honorary counsellors to various countries to attract foreign investors into the country. He said the investment climate in Pakistan had improved with the lifting of international economic sanctions and resolution of the IPP issue.
