HYDERABAD, April 12: A committee formed by consultative committee on reforms in annual examination of degree colleges proposed to the University of Sindh on Thursday to conduct separate examinations for external and regular candidates under annual examination system of the university.
The committee comprising Faculty of Natural Sciences Dean Dr M. Y. Khuhawar, controller of examinations Dr Parvez Pathan, inspector of colleges Prof Abdul Khaliq Chachar, Prof Saeeda Bashir, principal of Government I. H. Zuberi College of Home Economics Hyderabad, Prof Liaquat Aziz Solangi of Government Sachal Sarmast Arts and Commerce College and Dr Parveen Munshi of Faculty of Education proposed to split regular and external examinations in two phases during the academic calendar.
The committee suggested conducting the examination of regular candidates of affiliated colleges in December and of external candidates in June every year and stressed that the university should announce the date for registration of external candidates in June 2007 and conduct the examination in June 2008.
The committee proposed to conduct examinations at district headquarters in the jurisdiction of the university and urged reforms in the examination wing.
The Sindh University Vice-Chancellor convened a meeting of principals of all affiliated degree colleges to discuss implementation of the proposals submitted by the committee.
RESULTS: The controller of examinations of University of Sindh on Thursday announced result of the first professional MBBS Part-I and II annual examination 2006 of Mohammad Medical College Mirpurkhas.
The controller also announced the results of MA and MCom (previous) and MA (final) annual examination 2005 of candidates of postgraduate colleges.
