KARACHI, March 21: A Malaysian trade delegation on Wednesday offered Trading Corporation of Pakistan to supply urea to meet domestic requirements. Darwif Nazar of Malaysian International Trading Corporation made this offer during a meeting with TCP Chairman Abdul Malik.

While appreciating the offer, the TCP chairman suggested that the Malaysian firms first seek pre-qualified with TCP as the corporation undertakes imports from worldwide sources only through pre-qualified suppliers.

Malik also briefed the delegation about the activities of the TCP as a major public sector trading house, highlighting its role in stabilising domestic prices of essential commodities through market intervention.

During the meeting detailed discussions were held in areas of mutual interest.—APP
