KARACHI, March 12: Two persons were killed in separate incidents of violence in different parts of the city on Monday. A 32-year-old man was stabbed to death and his younger brother wounded over personal enmity in Baldia Town.
Police said Saleem, son of Nazar Mohammed, owner of a milk shop, was murdered and his brother, Rafique, was injured in front of their house in Turk Mohalla allegedly by one of their former employees, Mohammed Ramzan, and his brother Mohammed Akram.
The body and the injured man were shifted to the Civil Hospital where sources said Saleem had received multiple stab wounds in his abdomen. The condition of Rafique was also stated to be precarious as he was also stabbed in his upper torso.
An 18-year-old man was shot dead in Mehmoodabad. The body was shifted to the JPMC where the deceased was identified as Ijaz, son of Abdul Latif, a resident of Channesar Goth.
Hospital sources said the victim had received a bullet in his abdomen.
Police said the man was killed in a clash between two rival groups of drug traffickers, one known as Aziz Lasi group and the other as Ashok group, operating in the area.
A case has been registered against Farooq, Jawaid and two unknown suspects.—Staff Reporter
