RIYADH, March 12: Saudi Arabia has strongly refuted media reports that its ambassador to the US, Adel Al-Jubeir, recently had a chance meeting with an Israeli official in Washington.

Israel Radio reported on Sunday that Israeli Deputy Defence Minister Ephraim Sneh recently met the Saudi ambassador by chance in Washington. It said the men exchanged pleasantries and quoted the Saudi ambassador as saying that there were many problems to solve together.

Quoting an official from the Saudi Embassy in Washington, the Saudi Press Agency said that the reports were ‘baseless and fabricated’.
