KARACHI, March 8: Six ships carrying containers and to load rice and cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships were berthed. They are: Alex-D, to unload coal, Hyundai Advance Y.M.Faha, Pu He, and Iran Shaharyar to unload and load containers, Ikal to offload and load general cargo and Asari, an oil tanker.

Four ships, APL Shenzhen, Csav Ningbo, Y.M.Faha and Iron Butterfly departed on Thursday, while Swat, Pacific Arrow, Pu He, Iran Shaharyar, Victoria, and Ikal to sail out on Friday.

A total volume of 68,179 tons comprising 10,841 tons of export cargo, including 1,945 tons of rice and 4,247 tons of cement and 57,338 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Orient Independence, Eric Gibson, Ora Bhum, Corin Thaikos, with containers, Red Sea Spirit, to load 16,4000 tons of cement and Oriental Sun to load 10,200 tons of rice.
