LAKKI MARWAT, Feb 21: A constable was killed and another injured seriously following the explosion of two hand grenades thrown by the accused during a police raid over the residence of an outlaw.
Lakki Marwat police raided the residence of an alleged murderer in Kaka Khel on Thursday evening, some 10km away from here. Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), Malik Arshad Farooq, led the raiding party.
During the police operation two constables occupied an upper storey of the residence. Sensing the situation around his residence, the accused is alleged to have hurled two hand grenades on the upper storey, which blew up resulting the death of one constable Inaamullah of Dalo Khel and seriously injuring the other constable, Fazal Rehman of Nawar Khel.
The inured constable was rushed to district headquarter hospital, Lakki Marwat and the deceased was shifted to rural health centre, Titter Khel for postmortem.
None of the three doctors were available at the RHC at the time of the raid which enraged the relatives of the dead and injured.
