‘Professionals should run PSF’

ISLAMABAD, Feb 26: Former world champion Jansher Khan on Monday called for giving two key posts of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) to persons with strong background of this sport.

“For past many years, persons with little or no knowledge of squash are being appointed as senior vice-president and secretary of the PSF,” Jansher said in a news conference.

“This practice should now be stopped,” he maintained.

He said the youngsters should be sent to international competitions to get more exposure and a chance to improve their rankings rather than participating in local tournaments.—APP
