KARACHI, Feb 22: All-rounders Iqbal Sheikh and Waqar Kundi played central roles in the victories of their respective teams in the NBP-KCCA Inter Club Championship matches here on Wednesday.
Iqbal Sheikh slammed 67 with three fours and as many sixes besides grabbing two wickets as Tapal Cricket Club defeated Gulshan-e-Maymar Cricket Club by 44 runs at the TMC Ground.
Meanwhile, Late Ismail Jaffar Memorial Cricket Club beat Khatri Sports by five wickets at Al-Mansoora Ground.
Waqar Kundi took two wickets for 26 as Khatri Sports were restricted to 183-9 in 40 overs. Jaffar Memorial CC, in reply, romped home for the loss of five wickets in the 24th over. Waqar cracked an unbeaten 76 with seven hits to the ropes and Babar Hussain scored 55 with five fours.
