KARACHI, Feb 22: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has stated that the February 28 public meeting of Pakistan Muslim League would usher a revolution in the politics of Sindh.

The chief minister, who was talking to a delegation of elected representatives from interior including MNAs, MPAs, district nazims and PML-Q office bearers at the CM House on Thursday, said that Sindh had become a stronghold of PML due to the realisation that those who had taken votes from them repeatedly on mere slogans had failed to deliver. However, during President Musharraf’s administration, overall development had been observed in Sindh. The province which used to run on overdraft now had Rs30 billion in its kitty.

He pointed out that in urban centres mega projects were being implemented while in rural areas, construction work was also in progress.

The chief minister said that President Gen Musaharraf was keen to give provincial autonomy. He said in this connection he would soon call an APC to formulate a list of suggestions regarding provincial autonomy which would be sent to the federal government.
