MULTAN, Feb 8: An eleven-year-old girl was strangled after being subjected to rape in Soraj Miani here on Thursday.

DPO Muneer Ahmed Chishti said that Shabana, who also was a Hafiza, was alone in her house at Basti Gujrat when accused Allah Ditta, 22, came there and raped her. In a bid not to be recognised, the accused tried to strangle her to death and left her when he thought she had died. She was found unconscious when her mother returned from the work. She was rushed to the Nishtar Hospital where she died.
