QUETTA, Jan 16: Police arrested nine suspected Taliban militants in Kuchlak, some 25 kilometres from here, on Tuesday night. A senior police official said the militants – believed to be from Ghazni province of Afghanistan – were staying at a small hotel.

“They have been booked under the Foreigners Act because they failed to produce proper travel documents,” said Quetta Police SSP Qazi Wahid.

He said they were being interrogated about the purpose of their visit to Kuchlak.
