KARACHI, Jan 9: A dozen ships carrying palm oil, urea, soyabean meal and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where six ships, Geo Baltic, Taipan, Independent Spirit, Chang Le Men, Kota Permai and Wan Hai-301 were berthed after the departure of three.
The ships which departed included Dimitris-2, Norasia Alps and Sibi, while Chang Le Men, Kota Permai Rising Om, Independent Spirit, Wan Hai-301 and Iron Butterfly are due to sail out on Wednesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where the total tonnage swelled to 0.107m tons comprising 30,423 tons of export cargo including 15,960 tons of clinker and 76,386 tons of import tonnage.
The following ships are due to arrive on Wednesday: Lalazar with crude oil, Shintoku to load ethanol, Opal with palm oil, Faha, Asantem Hyundai Stride, Y.M Star with containers, El Yango with urea, Starling with scrap, Effy-N with coal, Luni Castle with general cargo and Al-Diyar with soyabean meal.
