KARACHI, Jan 8: Four ships carrying chemicals, steel and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a dozen vessels, Bunga Kenari, Jade-C, Norasia Alps, Dimitris-2 to unload and load containers, Cherry Star, Reff Carrier, Noni to unload coal, Andino Park, Rising Om, oil tankers, Guard Alleta, survey vessels, Alfie to unload and load general cargo, Courageous to load clinker and Denden to offload rock phosphate were berthed during the last two days.

Sailing was also active as 13 vessels departed under the lead of Corin Thaikos, Oel Aishwarya, Jade-C, Bunga Kenari, Marcalabria, and Johar.

They were followed by Blue Star, Heng Shan, Friendly Sea, George and Syria Star, while Norasia Alps, Dimitris-2, Ulcas, Alfie and Kota Permai are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.112m tons comprising 19,427 tons of export tonnage including 1,535 tons of rice and 1,641 tons of kinoos and 92,281 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Liquid Success with chemicals, APL Dalian with containers, Iron Butterfly with project cargo and Cailan-4 with steel.
