KHAAR, Dec 30: Missiles were fired at a security checkpoint in Dama Dola area of Bajaur Agency on Friday night, however, they remained off-target.

According to officials, two Russian-made 107MM missiles were aimed at the Levies checkpoint in Dama Dola, but both missed the target.

One of the missiles hit a nearby mosque, a portion of which was damaged, said witnesses.

Blown up a few months ago, the checkpoint had been reconstructed recently.
