KARACHI, Nov 20: Four ships carrying crude oil, and to load lube oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where ships, including car carrier and to unload palm oil were berthed. They are: Meg-2, Wan Hai-306, Mol Asante, Iran Kordestan, China Star, and Ever Guard, to unload and load containers, Haian Cheng, to offload and load general cargo, Freedom Ace, to offload vehicles, Stolt Avenir, to offload palm oil, Lalazar, to unload crude oil, and Overseas Orion, to unload petrol and naphtha.
Sailing was also active as over a dozen vessels departed during the last two days, notable among them being Cemera, Haian Cheng, Kuo Cheng, Gallant Wave, Mega-2, Sea Lion, Orient Independence, Soon Fu, Wan Hai-306, Mol Asante, Iran Kordestan, Freedom Ace and Induruwa Valley sailed out.
Cargo handling activity was maintained on the higher side as total tonnage rose to 0.224m tons comprising 40,643 tons of export cargo and 0.183 tons of import tonnage.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Shalamar, with crude oil, Sky Star, to load lube oil, APL Jeddah and Conti Esperance, with containers.
