LAHORE, Oct 20: Pakistan Cricket Board Director Cricket Operations, Saleem Altaf, has denied reports that the forthcoming home series against West Indies will now start with the first Test match to be played in Multan instead of Lahore.

Talking to journalists, Saleem, a former Test medium-fast bowler, said that the PCB had no plans to make any change in the scheduled programme of the tour, having three Tests and five One-day International.

There were reports that the PCB had decided to hold the first Test in Multan from Nov 11, instead of second one from Nov 19, to avoid a clash of dates with a religious gathering in the city of shrines.

Saleem said he had talked to the DCO Multan and there was no issue to make any change in the schedule.

West Indies is scheduled to arrive Pakistan on Nov 6, after participating in the ICC Champions Trophy in India.
