PESHAWAR, Oct 20: Jumatul Wida was observed in the NWFP and tribal areas with religious fervour and reverence. A large number of people went to mosques in the provincial capital and other cities to attend Juma congregation and prayed to the Allah Almighty for forgiveness and blessings.

Imams and Khateebs, in their sermons, threw light on the philosophy of fasting and Eidul Fitr.

They prayed for unity of Muslim Ummah and integrity, solidarity and prosperity of the country.—APP
