Corruption cases against policemen likely

SUKKUR, Oct 2: The Sukkur anti-corruption committee has decided to register cases and initiate departmental action against 30 policemen, jailers and revenue officials on charges of corruption.

In its meeting held on Sunday and chaired by Sukkur DCO Shafiq Ahmed Khoso, the anti-corruption committee decided to register the case in the court of special judge anti-corruption against ASI Shah Dino Chandio, constables Manzoor Deho, Ghulam Sarwar Noonari, Zahid Hussain Noonari, Bagh Ali, Ghulam Sarwar Chandio, Liaqat Keehar, Tapedar Saeen Dino and Pir Bux on the charges of misappropriating Rs1.8 millions.

The committee also decided to register case against jailers Imtiaz Ahmed and Ali Bux Shaikh, Sadhoja police station sub-inspector Khamiso Khan, ASI Abdul Malik Junejo, sub-inspector Mohammad Usman Soomro, Mukhtiar Hussain, Qurban Ali, SDO (women education) Rohri, and Pano Akil Tapedar Aijaz Manganhar on the charges of tampering official record and accepting illegal bribe.

A departmental action would be initiated against ASI Allah Dino Seelro, ASI Noor Ahmed Abro, police constables Eiden, Amanullah, Hidayatullah, driver Abdul Majeed, and Menhoon Chachar.
