SUKKUR, Feb 13: A meeting of the DPOs and SPs, investigation, Sukkur region, was held here on Wednesday to review the recently implemented police reforms.

Presided over by the AIGP, Sukkur region, the meeting reviewed the separation of investigation branch and discussed various shortcomings and problems concerning investigation.

The AIGP explained that investigations had been separated from watch and ward duties to improve the quality of investigations and make them more independent.

He added that this change was a revolutionary process and good suggestions would be incorporated in it.

The meeting also reviewed the law and order situation of the last two weeks.

The AIGP and DIGP, operations, advised the DPOs of the region to devise strategies to combat crimes.

DPOs were also told to take necessary precautions to provide sense of security to the public during the coming Eid season.
