KOHAT, Sept 12: Four people were killed and 17 injured in two accidents on Tuesday. Three people were killed and 16 injured when a pick-up collided head-on with a Kohat-bound coaster on the Indus Highway.

Several of the injured were admitted to the Liaquat Memorial Hospital and the rest to the KDA Medical Complex.

Police said that two bodies which were beyond recognition had been placed in the KDA Medical Complex for identification, adding that another victim was taken to his hometown from the scene of the accident by his relatives.

In the second accident, a pickup hit a motorcycle seriously injuring two brothers, Ashfaq and Altaf. The pick-up driver escaped. Ashfaq succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
