NEW DELHI, Feb 11: India on Monday stepped up its diplomatic pressure on Pakistan, calling in a senior Pakistani diplomat to protest” inaction” over the list of 20 men wanted by India.

Foreign ministry spokeswoman Nirupama Rao told reporters Pakistan’s deputy high commissioner was summoned to hear the complaint over the list of 20 alleged terrorists and criminals India wants Pakistan to surrender. “It is regrettable that Pakistan so far had taken no action to apprehend and hand over the terrorists, fugitives, against most of whom there are Interpol notices,” she said.—Reuters
