LAHORE, Aug 31: The Pakistan Railway Guards Association has proposed establishment of a relief fund for covering up losses like the washing away of Ran Pathani Bridge.
Lahore Division president Qazi Abdul Wadood put forward the proposal during a meeting of the association held here on Thursday with Riaz Aasi in the chair.
He said the guards were ready to contribute one-day salary for constitution of the fund. The proposal was supported by all office-bearers of the association.
SUNDAR: Punjab Industrial Estate Development and Management Company has decided to install 36 transformers in Sundar Industrial Estate for meeting the electricity requirements.
This was stated at a meeting of the owners of industries in Sundar estate held here with PIEDMC chairman Mohsin Sayed in the chair. Company directors Syed Nabeel Hashmi and Mansoor Abbas were also present.
Six transformers have already been installed and the remaining will be installed by the end of this week.
The meeting was told that the management company had decided to install cameras at its three gates. Security officials would also visit the factories frequently. A committee was also constituted for monitoring the security arrangements.
LABARD: The Beadon Road Traders Association has offered all possible assistance for the rehabilitation of the disabled.
Association president Mirza Javed Iqbal, general secretary Zakaul Haq and other office-bearers gave an assurance to this effect to a team of Lahore Businessman Association for Rehabilitation of the Disabled which visited the market to seek their cooperation in its work.
