FAISALABAD, Feb 11: The project of construction of link roads in rural areas and restoration of the existing roads will start shortly with an expenditure of Rs13.85 million under the Khushal Pakistan Programme (KPP).
This was stated by Roads District Officer Muhammad Riaz during a briefing here on Monday.
The official said the project would be completed from three to nine months and the tenders had already been invited.
Spelling out the details, he said two link roads from Chak 113/GB, Muhammadwala, to the Jaranwala main road via Chak 216/RB would be completed with an expenditure of Rs4.45 million while the remaining portion of the road between Chak 32/GB to Chak 118/GB would take Rs3.21 million.
The restoration work between Chak 76 and 77 via Chak 74 would be completed at a cost of Rs3.21 million while a sum of Rs2.06 million would be spent on the construction of road from Chak 225, Malkhanwala, to Barkatpura, he said.
Mr Riaz said an amount of Rs700,000 would be spent on the construction of the link road from Chak 93/RB to 266/RB and Rs300,000 on the road from Chak 541/GB to Kayanwala.
MEETING: A meeting of the district revenue officers will be held here on Thursday under the chairmanship of revenue EDO Mian Kamaluddin.
