ISLAMABAD, Feb 11: The deputy chief executive, Northern Areas, Fida Mohammad Nashad, said that devolution plan in Northern Areas would start from 2003.

In an interview here on Monday, Mr Nashad said arrangements were being made to hold local government elections in Northern Areas next year.

He said the new local government system would delegate complete powers, financial as well as executive, to elected district Nazims for the development of their own areas.— APP
