KARACHI: 45,000 jobs soon: CM

KARACHI, Aug 15: The Sindh government is taking steps for progress and prosperity of the province, and 45,000 jobs would soon be given to youth on merit basis, said Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim.

Talking to newsmen at the Race Course Ground on the occasion of giving Quid-i-Azam Trophy, he said that there was no rift in coalition partners of Sindh government. He said that they all would strive for the betterment of people of Sindh.

Meanwhile, a spokesman of Dr Arbab said no supporter of Dr Arbab was involved in a clash during convention of Pakistan Muslim League, recently held in Islamabad.

He said in fact party workers from Balochistan and those holding banners of Imtiaz Shaikh and Maqbool Shaikh had clashed. He said they would fully cooperate if central leadership of party initiated any inquiry into the issue.

Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Tuesday said addition of 'Hamza' submarine in Pakistan Navy (PN) would increase the navel defence of country.

He said this during his visit to the Navel Base here. Senior Navel official welcomed the Chief Minister.

He also inspected new Hamza submarine, handed over to the Pakistan Navy recently. Dr Arbab lauded the performance of Pakistan Navy.

Federal Minister for Science and Technology (S&T) Chaudhry Naurez Shakoor on Tuesday called on Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim at the Chief Minsiter's House here.
