MANSEHRA, Oct 5: Mohammed Nazir, relative of Ejaz Ahmed alias Goga, who was murdered three years ago, has accused a police head constable, Babar, of helping alleged killer Khurram Malik to escape from the examination hall where he was taken to appear in matric exam.

Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, Mohammed Nazir, uncle of Ejaz Goga, said HC Babar established close ties with the family members of Khurram Malik including his father, mother and wife, during their visits to Haripur jail to meet Khurram Malik. He said all this could be verified through jail record.

He said that the Haripur police were trying to protect Babar and that was why Khurram Malik had not been arrested even after a passage of one month.

He said although Head Constable Babar had been put behind bars but no investigation was being carried out to trace the hideouts of the absconding prisoner.

He said his family was under constant life threat from Khurram Malik but police were not taking it seriously.

It may be mentioned that Khurram Malik after killing Ejaz Ahmad, chopped the body into many pieces and dumped them at various places to keep his crime secret.
