HYDERABAD, Feb 10: Due to the closure of the Hyderabad Airport, thousands of passengers have been deprived of the air service and it has also given a setback to the agrarian economy of Sindh.

However, a great hope has been generated due to the proposed introduction of passenger and cargo flights from this historic city by Aero Asia International.

These views were expressed by different speakers at a function held at a hotel here on Saturday which was hosted by the Aero Asia Intrnational.

The Naib Nazim, Hyderabad district, Nawab Rashid Ali Khan, who was the chief quest on the occasion, said that the people of Sindh were facing enormous difficulties as the PIA had suspend its flights from Hyderabad Airport.

The vice chairman of the company, Abdur Rauf Tabani, expressed the hope that agricultural and industrial activities would receive a boost on account of the introduction of cargo service from the airport.

TALUKA NAZIM: The Nazim, Latifabad taluka, Mr Abdul Jabbar Khan, has that said that he was aware of the problems of the former employees of Zeal Pak Cement Factory and would make every possible effort to resolve their problems.

He was speaking at a reception hosted in Latifabad here the other day which was attended by a large number of ex-employees of the factory.

He said that he knew that the cheques issued to the employees had been dishonoured and added that he himself had remained a labourer and was not oblivious of the problems confronting the workers.

He demanded of the factory administration to clear the dues of the ex-employees.

The taluka Nazim said that he had already constituted a committee to look into the matter and added that the representatives of the ex-employees would also be included in the committee.
