KARACHI, July 26: Seven ships carrying palm oil, containers and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Kota Jasa, Ever Guide and APL Dalian, to unload and load containers, Shalamar, to unload crude oil, and Free Star to offload chemicals, were berthed after the departure of two.
The ships, which departed included Maersk Alabama and Sea Glory, while Ever Guide, APL Dalian, Orionis, Free Star, Shalamar and Infinity are due to sail out on Thursday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active where a total tonnage of 0.132m tons comprising 18,348 tons of export cargo, including 1,946 tons of cement and 0.113m tons of import tonnage, was handled.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Holly Galaxy, with 6,000 tons of palm oil, Team Leopard, to load 4,850 tons of ethanol, MOL Asante, Cape Santigo, Eric P. Gibsonand and Kota Tabah, with containers, and Palessa, with project cargo.
